Safety Scores Are Not Guarantees

Our composite safety scores and letter grades are calculated using our proprietary methodology applied to FMCSA CSA data. These scores are intended as a screening tool to help shippers evaluate carrier safety. They are not a substitute for your own carrier qualification process.

A high safety score does not guarantee safe transportation. A low safety score does not prove a carrier is unsafe. Safety data is historical and reflects past performance, which may not predict future results.

While we make reasonable efforts to keep our data current, there may be delays between FMCSA data updates and our display. Carrier information including operating status, insurance coverage, and safety scores may change at any time. Verified Safety Badges

Carriers may purchase verified-safety badges and enhanced profiles on FreightVet. These badges indicate that a carrier has claimed and verified their identity on our platform. They do not indicate that FreightVet has independently verified the carrier's safety performance beyond what FMCSA data shows. Badge status does not influence safety scores or rankings.

Independence Statement

FreightVet does not broker freight, arrange transportation, or earn commissions on freight transactions. We are financially independent from the carriers whose data we display. Our revenue comes from shipper subscriptions, carrier profile enhancements (clearly marked), and insurance broker partnerships. None of these revenue sources influence safety scores.
